David B. Sosin, the current Treasurer of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) and a member of the Board of Governors, is uniquely qualified to become the 3rd Vice President of the ISBA. He has been honored by the Bar as both a Board of Governors Award Winner and a Laureate (the highest award given to practicing lawyers). He is a Past President of the Illinois Bar Foundation, which flourished under his leadership. David is a 15-year Board Member of the ISBA Mutual Insurance Company and has chaired their Finance, Personnel, and currently their Governance Committee.

David started his Bar service as an officer and eventual President of the Southwest Bar Association, and he has chaired and served on many ISBA committees throughout the years. He was a founder of the Bar Leadership Conference, the Bar Foundation Gala, and numerous CLE programs, which he organized and presented.
